A pretty good substitute for wannabe web designers. Bedfordshire middle schools are unable to access this site due to the County's filtering system.

Strangely enough, the day after doing a staff development day telling everyone how wonderful Blogger was and illustrating its use in conjunction with feeds to other sites, I come in this morning to find students getting Access Denied!!! At least here (an FE College in Beds) I should be able to get the settings changed. If anyone knows the Beds CC person responsible I'm happy to contact them to try and get that changed too.

That last comment was from this wiki author, by the way, Andrew, email on the home page.

February 2006 saw the County change the filtering system from 1 filter to 4 filters for schools using the E2BN Protex system instead of RM Safetynet service.
I can send you a copy if you wish.

I've been using blogger with my ESOL class for adult migrants in Sydney since 2004 (Our Class 2009 http://ourclass09.blogspot.com/). I find it a great tool, easy to master, easy to teach students, who all have their own blogs, and great to supplement with other web 2.0 tools. I also use podomatic (Let's Talk http://rosao.podomatic.com/ for podcasts of my students, but it's been recently blocked (!).
